IK Zaamwani - LLB Hons (London), LLM (Dundee) - is Managing Director of Namdeb Diamond Corporation (Pty) Ltd.
Ms Zaamwani has been MD of Namdeb since 1999. Prior to that, she worked at the Ministry of Mines and Energy. In her capacity as Director of Mines, she participated in several joint committees reporting to Namdeb's co-owners, the Government of Namibia and De Beers, and learnt a great deal about Namdeb and diamond issues.
Prior to joining the Ministry, she trained as a lawyer in the United Kingdom. After graduating, she worked for the Commonwealth Secretariat and in private legal practice. She is a qualified barrister and member of Lincoln's Inn, London. |
