NAMDEB BURSARIES AND TERTIARY GRANTS Namdeb Diamond Corporation (Pty) Ltd remains committed to the development of Namibians and in support achieving Vision 2030 objectives through our Bursary scheme and Tertiary Grant Scheme. However the decline in land based resources has impacted on the way in which we work in all areas of our business, including the way in which we will select our future bursary and grant recipients. For the 2009 bursaries, the disciplines that we will be recruiting for have been determined by the future skills requirements. Only final-year meritorious students in the fields of Mining and Metallurgy will be considered and they will be head-hunted from respective institutions. For the Tertiary Grant Scheme, the University of Namibia and the Polytechnic of Namibia will be contacted to each recommend their top ten academic achievers. The criteria for awarding the Grants will remain the same as in the past:  Full-time students for current year of studies  Only outstanding tuition fees will be considered  Only Namibian citizens will be eligible  Proven Academic record Please note that we will not be advertising for bursaries and grants this year as we have done in the past.
