Namdeb recognizes the need for economic transformation and in the effort of supporting and enabling meaningful participation of Previously Disadvantaged Individuals within the economy; Namdeb has developed a BEE strategy as a strategic imperative with the objective of fulfilling our corporate social responsibility within Namibia and contributing to the rectifying of Namibia’s socio-economic imbalances.

Namdeb achieves its BEE credentials in relations to the following areas

  • Preferential procurement
  • Enterprise development and
  • Industry-specific initiatives

Recent BEE supporting initiatives include the Oshipe Development fund, a Namdeb empowerment subsidiary designated to promote and facilitate the development and growth of small and medium enterprises (SME’s) within Namibia with particular interest to facilitate the entry of previously disadvantaged Namibians in the main stream of the economic sector.
